BenWelcome to Episode 2. I'm Ben.
BenToday, we're going to listen to a conversation between Yuki and Haru at work — but this one is a little different from last time.
BenYuki has some unexpected news. He's decided to apply for a transfer to the American branch, and he's leaving Japan next month.
BenAs you listen, pay attention to how Yuki explains his reason for leaving, how he hands off his responsibilities to a new coworker, and the promise Haru makes him before he goes.
BenAlright, let's listen.
BenAnd that's the end of today's conversation.
BenToday, Yuki told Haru about his transfer to America, explained what to do if problems come up while he's away, and promised to stay in touch — even when things get busy.
BenA new coworker named Isami will be joining the office next week, taking over Yuki's role.
BenThat's all for today.
BenThanks for studying with us, and I'll see you in the next episode.
